I often question myself about my identity. As the world becomes more accepting of people with multiple identities we are less able to define culture and struggle to identify ourselves. The more we embrace multiculturalism, the more we lose authentic cultures and its identities. This has inspired me to create work that expresses contemporary issues on cultural and racial identity. Through layering, repetition, and a limited color palette I create prints, painting and two-dimensional works that speak to the struggle to identify culture and race in an age of multiculturalism.
